Die Zertifizierungen der Vereinigung sind kompetenzbasiert und privat. Sie stellen weder eine Lizenz noch eine Berechtigung zur Ausübung reglementierter Berufe oder zur Erbringung von Gesundheitsleistungen dar.

Psychosoziale Beratungsvereinigung
Offizieller Name der Organisation, die Fachleute im Bereich der psychosozialen Beratung vereint und ethische sowie inhaltliche Standards sicherstellt.
TDP
Akronym zur Identifizierung der Organisation in formeller und weniger offizieller Kommunikation.
Psychosoziale/r Berater/in
Berufstitel, der Kompetenzen in der psychosozialen Unterstützung bestätigt, verschieden von einem klinischen Therapeuten oder Psychotherapeuten.
FWB – Fortlaufende berufliche Weiterbildung
System (international bekannt als CPD), das sicherstellt, dass Mitglieder ihr Wissen und ihre Fähigkeiten durch Fortbildung und Supervision ständig aktualisieren.
Ausschuss für Zertifizierung und Mitgliedschaft
Internes Gremium, verantwortlich für die Überprüfung der Qualifikationen von Kandidaten und die Vergabe von Mitgliedschaftsstufen.

TDP-Kandidat/in (Studierende/r)
Einstiegsstufe für Personen in Ausbildung oder frisch Absolvierte, die sich auf die volle Zertifizierung vorbereiten.
TDP Psychosoziale/r Berater/in – Stufe 1
Grundlegende Zertifizierungsstufe, die die Kompetenz zur selbstständigen Arbeit mit Klienten unter Supervision bestätigt.
TDP Psychosoziale/r Berater/in – Stufe 2
Fortgeschrittene Stufe für erfahrene Berater mit dokumentierter Praxis und Weiterbildung.
